If you've been curious about a wider-leg style but want something familiar to ease into, South St. is exactly that.The wider leg is the whole point — roomy and fluid without ever looking sloppy. Allison moved the side seam forward on the leg, a small construction detail that creates a cleaner leg line and makes the silhouette feel balanced and intentional. Pair it with one of our shorter hem tops and the proportions do the work for you.

The elastic drawstring waist is adjustable and designed to flex with you — supportive without digging in. South St. is an oversized fit through the leg. If you prefer a more relaxed, flowing look, take your usual size. If you'd like a slightly more controlled fit, size down.

What is Shiny Denim fabric?This shiny denim is unlike any fabric in our line — structured and polished on the outside, soft and comfortable against your skin. It has a subtle sheen that reads as elevated and put-together, with enough body to hold a clean silhouette all day. It's thicker than our lightweight rayon jersey but more fluid than Double Knit — its own category entirely.Despite the denim look, it doesn't feel stiff, hot, or restrictive. It moves with you, breathes well, and doesn't require the break-in period you'd expect from traditional denim.

How does it compare to your other fabrics?Shiny Denim sits in its own category — it's our only denim-look style. It has more structure and presence than our lightweight rayon jersey and Soft Ponte. Think of it as the polish of denim with the comfort our fabrics are known for. It does not have as much stretch compared to both our Soft Ponte and lightweight rayon jersey fabrics so keep that in mind. We recommend staying with your original size.

How do I care for it? Machine wash cold, gentle cycle with like colors. Hang dry for best results. Heat will cause shrinkage.
The wide leg works best with a shorter hem on top — try the Ava, Aidan, or Dayna Top for a balanced, pulled-together look. Add the Harley Jacket for an easy travel outfit. Sneakers, slides, or chunky boots all work with this silhouette.
"I designed South St. because I wanted a wide-leg style that felt approachable — something that had the ease of a jogger but with more movement and presence. Wider-leg silhouettes were having a moment, and I wanted to create an entry point for women who were curious but not sure. The detail I'm most proud of is the side seam — by moving it forward on the leg, it creates a cleaner line that makes the leg look more streamlined without taking away any of the actual width. Pair it with a shorter top and the proportions just work."

Our semi-midweight rayon jersey (soft ponte) is made from a rayon-spandex blend with a smooth, soft hand feel and gentle structure. 

This fabric offers more structure and shape retention, meaning it holds the silhouette of the top more clearly while still feeling comfortable and flexible. It’s not stiff, just more polished.
