FAQs

Yes, rib fabric is designed to be stretchy, allowing for comfortable movement and a flattering fit.

Not as stretchy as Lightweight Knit or Semi-Midweight Knit.

You’ll love rib fabric for its perfect blend of comfort and style! Its stretchy texture allows for easy movement, while the unique ribbed design adds a touch of sophistication to your outfits. Plus, it’s breathable and soft against the skin, making it ideal for all-day wear. Whether you’re lounging at home or stepping out, rib fabric gives you the flexibility and chic look you crave!

The higher spandex count (up to 8%) gives this fabric a slight sheen as well, and a durability that most jersey knits wont have. (most jersey is a 98% rayon and 2% spandex). Of this blend the spandex is the most durable and when we blend more spandex into the knit - it creates a dressier, weightier, and more durable blend. Which means, less pilling, higher density and bounce back (no more over stretched sleeves or hem), and wrinkles fall away easily because of the weight and spandex count.

But the thing that we can really translate is the softness. We start with a higher twist yarn with longer fibers, which creates a smoother and stronger fabric. Think of a higher thread count in sheets, its just like that - which makes is silkier and smoother to the touch. And it minimizes the pilling too!
